Section 7.1 Committees. The committees of the Association are appointed by the incoming President at the beginning of her/his term, and approved by the Executive Board.
Section 7.1.1 Standing Committees. The standing committees of the Association have ongoing responsibilities directed toward the goals of the Association and are: Election, Awards, Governmental Affairs, Conference, and Research. The purpose and duties of these committees are described in policy and procedures.
Section 7.1.2 Ad Hoc Committees. Special ad hoc committees may be appointed by the President and/or at the request of the Executive Board to carry out specific tasks. These committees shall cease to exist when the purpose for which they were created is completed. The purpose and goals of the committee shall be stated at the time of appointment.
